What can we do as a family in Bordeaux this summer? A workshop at La Cite du Vin!
Are you wondering what activity to do with your children this summer? Look no further! La Cité du Vin is running several (alcohol-free!) activities. They are fun, cultural, sensorial, and adapted to every age group.
From the 14th of July at La Cité du Vin you can come and share a unique experience and discover all the secrets of tasting. You can also take advantage of the children’s workshops to discover the Permanent Tour in peace and quiet, or to take part in an adult’s workshop yourself!
FAMILY WORKSHOP “SOMETHING FOR EVERY TASTE!”
Young and old can enjoy learning about the subtleties of taste with an original tasting session which will awaken all your senses. Touch, aroma and taste experiences will help you understand the origins of taste and the factors affecting how we perceive food. Tasting will no longer hold any secrets for you!
For 1hr 30, share a new experience as a family and test your senses: does your sense of sight always give you the right message? Did you know that your sense of smell also affects your sense of taste? Did you know that the container you drink from affects your perception of what you are drinking? Will you be able to work out what is in your glass? Or the flavour of this irresistible delight?

JUNIORS WORKSHOP 8-11 YEARS “LABELS UNDER THE MICROSCOPE”
On the programme for this 2-hour workshop: with the help of a cultural presenter, your children will learn how to decode a wine bottle’s label. The workshop will end with a creative session where children will make their own label on a particular theme.
Even the youngest inquisitive minds will be able to discover all about the culture and civilisations of wine!

KIDS’ WORKSHOP 4-7 YEARS “TASTES AND COLOURS”
On the programme for this 1hr 30 workshop: with the help of a cultural presenter, little ones will have an opportunity to discover wine’s culture and civilisations in a fun way! Through games, sensory experiences and creative activities, your children will take their first fun steps towards experiencing this rich heritage.
