Un jurado compuesto por 49 enólogos, sumilleres y expertos en análisis sensorial, bajo la presidencia de Angel Calleja, participó en la Gran cata final de los Premios Manojo 2016 en la cual participaron 65 de los 524 vinos presentados al concurso. Estos vinos que habían pasado a la final en la fase previa, tras haberse recogido en todas las bodegas cooperativas de España que habían pasado a la fase final, volvieron a ser catados por 49 expertos.
Solo 27 vinos (un 5,1% de todos los vinos presentados al concurso) se alzaron con algún galardón. De éstos, tres han sido Grandes Manojo, en las categorías de blancos jóvenes, tintos jóvenes y tintos crianza. Además se entregaron un Manojo de oro, otro de plata y un tercero de bronce en cada una de las ocho categorías establecidas: blancos jóvenes, rosados jóvenes, tintos jóvenes, tintos jóvenes roble, tintos crianza, tintos reserva, semi secos y dulces, y cavas y espumosos de calidad.
La entrega de premios ha tenido lugar hoy viernes día 10 de junio a las trece horas, en las Casas del Tratado de Tordesillas.
