Sommeliers association of Japan visits Viña Concha y Toro. Sommeliers Akihiko Nosaka and Daichi Nomura, along with celebrated Japanese wine writer Kunio Bansho, visited Pirque to taste many wines from the Wines of Origin portfolio.

Kunio Bansho—Japanese wine writer and Editor-in-Chief of Wands magazine—visited Pirque along with two distinguished members of the Sommeliers Association of Japan.

The writer returned to Chile to learn of new developments in the Wines of Origin portfolio and choose the wines that would be featured in seminars to be led by Nosaka and Nomura in the cities of Kyoto, Yamanashi and Nagano in October.

At the tasting, winemaker Sebastián Rodríguez presented Marques de Casa Concha Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Chardonnay 2014 and Pinot Noir 2014, as well as the 2014 vintage of Vigno, the limited edition of Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, and the 2014 vintage of the line’s traditional Cabernet Sauvignon.

The experts later tasted the Gran Reserva Serie Riberas Chardonnay 2013 and the Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, as well as Terrunyo Carmenere 2014, wrapping up with the 2013 vintage of Don Melchor to culminate Bansho’s highly successful visit to Concha y Toro.
